Jacinta Lewin joined Maurice Blackburn in March 2009 and was
admitted to practice in 2010 after completing a Bachelor of Laws
(Honours) and a Bachelor of Creative Arts from the University of
Melbourne. She has experience in both the Federal and
Victorian Worker's Compensation Schemes and now practices
predominantly in the firm's Comcare department.
Jacinta represents individuals from many different industries
and with varying employment arrangements. She acts for
injured worker's seeking compensation for work-related injuries and
is passionate about ensuring that worker's access their full
entitlements. .
As an active member of Maurice Blackburn's Women's Law Section
and Indigenous Equality and Rights Committee Jacinta strongly
believes that as a lawyer she has a responsibility to advocate in a
manner that increases individual's access to justice.
Jacinta has volunteered with a number of human rights and
charity organisations including the Asylum Seekers Resource Centre
and the UNESCO Youth Network. She is also a member of that
Australian Lawyers Alliance, Victorian Women's Lawyers and the
Federal Litigation Section of the Law Institute of Victoria.
