Richard Ryan is a litigation and dispute resolution expert with
considerable experience in a wide range of commercial disputes.
Richard joined the Major Projects team of Maurice Blackburn in
November 2007 after having spent significant time at leading
commercial practices in New Zealand, England and Australia. He is
currently working on the Amcor/Visy class action.
He has experience representing clients in complex contested
Supreme Court and Federal Court proceedings, arbitrations,
corporate regulatory inquiries and Commissions of Inquiry in both
Australia and England. His clients have included listed and
private companies, banks, intermediaries and high net worth
individuals in the financial services, property, shipping,trade and
reinsurance/insurance sectors.
Richard is experienced in alternative dispute resolution
including mediation, arbitration (both international and domestic)
and expert neutral determination and is an associate member of
LEADR. Richard's practice has a particular focus on the
management and planning of large-scale litigation cases.
